Kiva.org is a site that enables indivuduals to loan others money. This is one of the smartest charity organizations I have ever seen. Microlending like this cuts out the buracracy of government/corporate organized funding; gets money directly to the people who need it - and let’s you see how you helped. Awesome.

Agreed…and I recently heard that many more American’s are applying for the KIVA loans then ever before.
