Meatless Monday → en.wikipedia.org

Meatless Monday is an international campaign that encourages people to not eat meat on Mondays to improve their health and the health of the planet. Reducing meat consumption by 15% (the equivalent of one day a week) lessens the risk of chronic preventable illness and has a strong positive impact on the environment.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR WIND ENERGY HERE IN NYC?

image

Just realized this newsfrom ConEdison!!! MAKE THE SWITCH for your apartment!

“New York homes and small businesses can choose 100% renewable power from the New York region.

Signing up for GREEN power increases the demand for renewable resources in our area. As more customers enroll, more renewable resources will be built to meet the demand.

When you enroll,GREEN power will be sent to the regional power grid on your behalf, and you will be sent an annual certificate that states exactly how much GREEN power was generated on your behalf. Green-e, the nation’s leading third party verification for renewable energy, certifies this renewable energy, holding us to high environmental and consumer protection standards.

By signing up for GREEN power, the average customer has an annual environmental benefit equivalent to not driving over 6,000 miles or planting over 2 acres of trees!”
